Helping international
student succeed

StudyVillage exists to guide and safeguard your student throughout their international study journey—while keeping you meaningfully informed at every stage. Each student is paired with a dedicated, specially qualified Student Supporter, backed by a research-led framework and a secure, cloud-based platform that ensures consistency, visibility, and continuity of care.

Operating across Australia, the UK, Canada and other key destinations, StudyVillage supports students in major university cities through a network of 60+ trained mentors. Together, our people and platform deliver structured, scalable support that responds to real student needs and gives parents confidence that someone capable, independent, and on the ground is paying attention.

Step-by-step support from day one

StudyVillage supports students through the Happy, Healthy & Wise process—a structured, research-informed framework that guides and supports international students from pre-departure through to graduation. From the outset, each student is paired with a dedicated, specially qualified Student Supporter who remains their consistent point of contact across the entire journey.

The process begins before the student departs, with an early one-on-one conversation to establish rapport, set expectations, and prepare the student emotionally and practically for the transition ahead.

A defining feature of the Happy, Healthy & Wise process is the active involvement of parents. At key points each semester, parents are invited—with the student’s consent—to meet together with their child and the Student Supporter to review progress, discuss wellbeing and study engagement, and understand how the student is being supported. These structured conversations close the information loop for families, providing reassurance while respecting the student’s independence.

Regular check-ins, surveys & meet-ups

Regular check-ins, surveys & meet-ups

Students complete short, structured wellbeing and progress surveys at regular intervals. These insights are reviewed by the Student Supporter and form the basis of one-to-one meetings, allowing concerns—such as homesickness, academic pressure, health, or social isolation—to be identified and addressed before they escalate.

Goal setting & guided support

Goal setting & guided support

Students and supporters work together to set and review study, wellbeing, career, and personal goals. Supporters provide practical guidance on building effective study habits, managing part-time work, integrating socially, and navigating university services—always with a focus on building independence rather than dependence.

Clear progress tracking & reporting

Clear progress tracking & reporting

Each semester, survey insights are combined with professional, qualitative feedback from the Student Supporter to generate a Healthy, Happy & Wise progress outline. With the student’s consent, this structured summary is shared with parents, providing a clear, balanced view of safety, wellbeing, engagement, and academic momentum.

Open Support Hours

Open Support Hours

Alongside scheduled activities, students—and where appropriate, parents—have access to open support hours: flexible, on-demand time with their Student Supporter for unexpected questions or challenges. Used thoughtfully, these sessions allow issues to be resolved in real time rather than after they become problems.

Our mentoring system evolves into a proven method for student success.

StudyVillage begins by supporting students through transition and adjustment—but as students find their feet, the Happy, Healthy & Wise methodology shifts focus toward goalsetting, accountability, and long-term direction.

Through structured goal definition, regular progress tracking, and guided reflection, students learn how to translate effort into outcomes—academically, personally, and professionally. In the later stages of study, our framework becomes a methodical transition system, helping students plan, test, and refine their post-study pathway into work, further study, or return home.

Throughout the journey, students remain supported by a dedicated mentor, while parents—where appropriate—stay informed through clear, structured feedback. What begins as support becomes capability: a repeatable way of thinking, planning, and moving forward with confidence.

As a parent, it’s natural to feel anxious when your child studies overseas. At StudyVillage, we keep you in the loop every step of the way. Each semester you’ll receive a concise written report on your child’s transition, wellbeing and academic progress. We also schedule a video conference with you, your student, and their mentor to review this report and answer any questions. This way, even thousands of miles apart you’ll see exactly how your child is faring – far beyond the grade transcripts from universities.

Our philosophy is simple: with the right support, every international student can thrive and reach their full potential.
